What BetterSleep is really built for
BetterSleep (formerly Relax Melodies) is best known for its enormous sleep sounds library: rain, ocean, pink noise, storms, fan sounds, custom mixes. That is the product. It also added a sleep tracker with stages, guided meditations, and a basic smart alarm.
The alarm inside BetterSleep plays from BetterSleep’s library or from your local Apple Music. It does not stream Spotify. It does not stream the Apple Music catalog. You cannot pick an arbitrary song.
What Alarmify does that BetterSleep cannot
Alarmify’s whole product is the alarm itself. It streams your chosen song from Spotify or Apple Music natively, fades it in gradually, and with Smart Wake starts it minutes before the alarm time using a proper sleep-cycle calculator. The entire app is designed around the five minutes after the alarm fires.
Alarmify does not have a sleep sounds library or a sleep tracker. That is on purpose.
Price
Alarmify+ is $49.99 a year. BetterSleep Premium is typically around $59.99 a year. If the alarm is your main job, Alarmify is both cheaper and more capable. If you want the full sleep-sounds plus tracker plus meditations package, BetterSleep’s premium is justified.
